The population growth in Orange, Lake, and Seminole counties Florida has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.webuildvalue.com\/en\/reportage\/florida-infrastructure-projects.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">made traffic congestion a major problem <\/a>in the region. Florida, is the third-largest state by population, and is growing rapidly, with more than <strong>1 million new residents each year<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Solution <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Although planning and construction on the beltway around central Florida has been underway for the last 30 years, the final link \u2014 <strong>Wekiva Section 8 <\/strong>\u2014 is now becoming a reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What is Wekiva 8? It\u2019s a new interchange at Wekiva Parkway and Interstate 4 (I-4), just north of Orlando, Florida, that will <strong>significantly improve traffic conditions<\/strong>. Specifically, 2.63 miles of limited access toll road will connect with State Road 417 (SR 417).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.laneconstruct.com\/app\/uploads\/2022\/09\/final_36-photo.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2532\" width=\"1000\" height=\"562\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.laneconstruct.com\/app\/uploads\/2022\/09\/final_36-photo.jpeg 1000w, https:\/\/www.laneconstruct.com\/app\/uploads\/2022\/09\/final_36-photo-300x169.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/www.laneconstruct.com\/app\/uploads\/2022\/09\/final_36-photo-768x432.jpeg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Wekiva Parkway Section 8 involves the design and construction of 2.63 miles of limited access toll road and reconstruction along I-4, including a new interchange.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:5px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Lane Construction is currently constructing Wekiva 8 and expects the project to take a total of four years. Wekiva 8 includes drainage, lighting, paving, pavement markings, extensive signage, utilities and other roadway features.
